If you wake up busting to go toilet in the middle of the night, then you'll be interested to discover why...
Needing to pee in the middle of the night is actually called 'Nocturia' (we know right? It has an acutal name!) and it has to do with the amount of salt in your diet.
Japanese scientists found that the amound of sodium (or salt) in a person's diet can influence how often you need to urinate.
321 volunteers participated in the study that found those who cut their salt intake by 25% (from 10.7g to 8g) per day needed to pee less.
Their daily night time pee visits dropped from 2.3 trips, to 1.4 trips!
So how much salt should we be consuming each day? Well The National Health Service recommends that adults should only eat 6g of salt each day.
