Bridgerton Season Three will follow Penelope and Colin's love story, according to Nicola Coughlan.
The 'Derry Girls' actress, who portrays the youngest Featherington sister and the persona of 'Lady Whistledown,' announced the "big secret" for the upcoming season of the famous Netflix period drama, on social media.
In a follow-up post, Nicola stated her intention to make her fans "proud" of her storyline.
This confirms rumours that the fan-favourite couple will be the next to get the Shondaland treatment with creator Shonda Rhimes, and executive producer Chris Van Dusen hinting that it could happen soon.
Chris went into a bit more detail saying: “We definitely left off what happens to Penelope and Eloise in a really – that’s going to be riveting to see what happens next season. I think Lady Featherington now saying goodbye to Jack, and she is now solo — I think that’s going to be fascinating.”
We’ll have to wait a little longer to see how their story will play out, with season three expected to come out in 2023.
