Partner/who: My girlfriend is Staci Scott and she loves being mentioned in these things.
Got Kids/want kids: None. Some of my friends are starting to have them, which I find really weird. One day I’ll have some.
How long have you been at the Edge? What’s your role?
I have been at the Edge since 2006. I’m the DJ from 12-3 during the day and I host the Fat 40 with Megan. I’m also Music Director which means look after all the music for The Edge, meeting with record companies and helping decide what gets played and how often.
Best thing about working at The Edge:
Travelling around NZ visiting new places, meeting listeners and doing cool things
Worst thing about working at The Edge:
Using the phone after Chang. He leaves his breath on the handset.
Highlight of your career so far?
Interviewing Muse and Dizzee Rascal at the 2010 Big Day Out
Favourite songs right now:
Dan Black and Kid Cudi – Symphonies, Drake – Kareoke, The Naked and Famous – Young Blood, P Money and Milan Borich – Falling Down, Florence and the Machine – Dog Days Are Over, Young Sid – Waste a Day, The Earlybirds – I Can’t Live Without You
Dumbest thing you’ve ever done:
I went through a period of sticking my hand in dumb places that it didn’t fit. This part of my life culminated in a trip up the Sky Tower where my hand became wedged between two bits of class on the viewing platform. You live, you learn.
What do you get up to on the weekend?
I get rowdy. I play rugby. I sleep.
Do you Play sports:
I play rugby for Teachers Eastern (Does this count as a shout out, boys?) and I play indoor netball during the week. The Yin and the Yang.
Sandwiches, burgers, pizza in that order.
Which Edge DJ is most likely to get you in to trouble and why?
Probably me, I’m way too tough for peer pressure. Honest.
