Ed Sheeran has cancelled part of his world tour, what does this mean for NZ?

Hopefully he's still able to make it to NZ next March!

yesterday it was announced that Ed Sheeran had been hit by a car while riding his bike. Ed posted on Insta saying:

Ive had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows.

Now we've heard the news that the accident has affected some of his upcoming shows. After a visit to the doctors, Ed has had to cancel his shows in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong due to "fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future".

Ed hasn't yet cancelled his shows in NZ though saying in his post "I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details." So for right now, we're hoping that he's able to recover in time to play for us in March 2018.
