X Factor USA host Steve Jones may be fronting his last episode on Friday. Rumours are rife that he's leaving the show.

A source says he loves working on X Factor but the audience hasn’t warmed to him.

"There have been mistakes and he just doesn’t seem to have the knack for dealing with contestants," The Daily Mirror has reported. "The executives at Fox have already decided not to renew his contract and so, short of a miracle happening, it is pretty much a done deal that he will not take part next season."

There's been no official word yet on what's happening. The 34-year-old himself admitted that he has no idea whether he would be rehired. "Fingers crossed, I'd love to come back. [We'll] see what happens," he said earlier this month.

But the news reportedly has been delivered to Jones and it devastated him.

You guys really need to watch his interview on Ellen. He was only cutting into the judges b/c he has an earpiece with producers yelling at him to cut the judges and make their decision. Otherwise, as he clearly said on Ellen, the show would have no ending. Take that into consideration before you say he's always butting in. The flow of the show is not for you to control. Deal with it.

He wasn't that good! I would like Nick Lacheay (sp?), the judge from Sing-Off, who was married to Jessica Simpson.

Well..about time is all I can say..He was sooo rude to everyone, and I for one, did not warm to him either. He needs to go back and learn manners and etiquette. Bring on Ryan Seacrest.
