Breakfast radio host Dom Harvey is a self-confessed idiot. For years he's been getting up to all sorts of antics on The Edge's breakfast show, and regularly plays tricks on his mates, his family and all the poor folk who work with him - especially his boss Leon. Even his long-suffering mum has been a target for pranking.
Bucket Lists of an Idiot gave Dom's nearest and dearest a chance to get him back. With their help, Dom - a couch loving, 'indoorsy' type with an aversion to pain - came up with a list of things he could have happily died without ever doing, including:
- Get a regrettable tattoo (a real one).
- Arm wrestle an All Black.
- Be a life drawing model at a hen’s night.
- Visit a gay sauna.
- Hire a granny stripper for his boss.
- Visit a dominatrix, and much, much more.
In hindsight this was a bad idea – for Dom at least. But very amusing for the rest of us. Bucket List of an Idiot is Dom’s hilarious account of ticking off every regrettable and moronic item on the list. Prepare to be shocked, revolted, appalled and very possibly offended as Dom recounts all his pain, humiliation and regret for our reading pleasure.
