Producers of Fifty Shades of Grey are apparently eyeing up dreamboat Ryan Gosling for the lead role of Christian Grey.

The husband of the author, E. L. James is responsible for the rumour, saying the ‘last he heard’ Ryan was in the running to play lead.

Apart from that slip, there’s been no reports that the studio has made any decision.

Other actors who have been rumoured to be considered for the lead role include Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Chris Pine, Chris Hemsworth, Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder and Alexander Skarsgard.
