JUSTIN BIEBER contemplated quitting music last year (11) after he was sensationally accused of fathering a fan's baby.
The pop star hit headlines in November (11) when Mariah Yeater falsely claimed Bieber had impregnated her during a backstage romp at one of his concerts in Los Angeles in 2010.
Bieber vehemently denied the claims and even agreed to take a DNA test to put an end to the speculation, before Yeater backtracked.
He now admits the scandal was the most trying moment of his career to date.
The singer tells Britain's Fabulous magazine, "At the beginning of it all I was in Florida, away from my friends and family and I was pretty sad.
"I got to the point where I thought, 'I don't want to do this. I just want to be normal.' It was difficult because I'd never gone through anything like that."
The Baby hitmaker credits his mentor Usher with helping him put the experience behind him, adding, "Usher was like, 'Prepare to have this for the rest of your career because it's not going to stop.' He's gone through some stuff and most artists go through their fair share of bull. That was just my first time."
Bieber has even forgiven Yeater for the allegations, insisting, "I feel sorry for her more than anything."
