Weezer are turning their upcoming fan cruise into a romantic affair - they will be holding special vow renewal ceremonies for married couples.

The Beverly Hills hitmakers will set sail for Cozumel off the coast of Mexico next year (12) and the first ever four-day Weezer Cruise will depart from Miami, Florida on 19 January (12).

The boat trip will see Rivers Cuomo and his bandmates meet and greet fans, while they will perform their popular albums Pinkerton and The Blue Album in their entirety, alongside bands like Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh.

But they have announced a new aspect to the vacation - bassist Scott Shriner will help happy couples reaffirm their commitment to one another on the final day of the cruise.

Other planned activities include a shuffleboard tournament with drummer Pat Wilson, a midnight movie party with guitarist Brian Bell, and readings from Cuomo's book, The Pinkerton Diaries.
