Victoria Beckham has reportedly ruined any chance of a final Spice Girls reunion.
Former bandmate Geri Halliwell is said to be keen to get the group together one last time. But 38-year-old fashion designer Victoria is done with her days as Posh Spice, reports UK newspaper The Mirror. The ladies are said to have fallen out over the issue and are no longer on speaking terms.
“Geri wants the girls to be back on the road as soon as they can,” a source told the publication,.
Ginger Spice has reportedly trying desperately to get the girls’ manager Simon Fuller involved. Geri is believed to have the support of bandmates Melanie Brown, Mel Chisholm and Emma Bunton. Her efforts so far have been in vain.
“She’s been trying to get in touch with Simon for the past few weeks but isn’t getting anywhere,” the insider said.
Simon is reportedly reluctant to promote a reunion tour without Victoria on board because she brings so much to the table.
"On their reunion tour she brought Madonna’s choreographer Jamie King on board and organised a lot of the outfits with Dolce and Gabbana,” according to the source.
Rumours of a Spice Girls reunion tour or new album were rampant after the five ladies made a rare appearance at the West End opening of Viva Forever! on December 11.
The stage musical is based on the girl group’s most famous hits.
Their last album, Greatest Hits, was released in 2007.
