The big news over the weekend was…. TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES are getting a divorce after just five years of marriage.
It’s not a fun birthday present for Tom who turns 50 tomorrow.
No one is confirming the real reason behind the split but it’s rumoured to have something to do with the fact Katie hates Scientology. Supposedly Tom never saw this coming.
No doubt there will be a bitter custody battle since they both want custody of six year old Suri.
By the terms of their prenup, Katie should get at least $15 million.
The pre-nup guaranteed her $3 million for every year they stayed married up to 11 years, at which point she'd get half his assets. They've been married five years, so she's entitled to at least $15 million.
It’s Tom’s third divorce. He used to be married to actresses Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman.
