The Best Animated Feature Film is the first that has been revealed... With STEVEN SPIELBERG's epic THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN, the CARS sequel and GNOMEO & JULIET are among the 18 movies in consideration.
Also making the cut are Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, Arthur Christmas, Happy Feet Two, Puss in Boots, Rango, Rio and The Smurfs.
The 84th Academy Awards nominations will be announced on 24 January next year
