Best described as "musically fearless", NZ's very own influential artist Tiki Taane now brings us his second album, one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2011. After nearly 4 years since the release of his multi-platinum selling album "Past Present Future", Tiki is back in full force and pushing himself further than ever before as both a vocalist and a producer.
Known as "The King Of The Dubs" in his career now spanning 20 years to date, Tiki has written, fronted and produced some of New Zealand's most loved anthems. This new album, "In The World Of Light" cements Tiki's status as one of the Southern Hemisphere's most celebrated pioneers, delivering what will surely be some of this year’s biggest soundtracks. Delighting us with massive tunes that promise to shake the foundations both sonically & emotionally, we are again reminded of the absolute diversity of Tiki's musical appeal.

Teaming up with Dubstep heavyweights Truth, Optimus Gryme, Bulletproof and Crushington, Tiki also collaborates with Drum n Bass legends Concord Dawn and Sambora as well as newcomer DUBXL. Drawing on the powerful vocal talents of Hollie Smith, Moana Maniapoto, Spanish superstar Bebe and his own father Uekaha Taane (who also appeared on his debut album), Tiki's proficiency as a visionary producer makes this release the most progressive project he has produced to date.
"In The World Of Light" releases through Tiki's own label Dirtydub exclusively on 5 March 2011 at Wellington's Jim Beam Homegrown Festival and instore & digitally 6 March 2011.
A NZ tour follows throughout March & April.
