Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch had one... but not Dunedin - and they are pissed.
So, The Edge are here to fill the gap and get you Dunnas residents out there, lining your streets, waving your little black flags in excitment, with black painted faces and black scarfs, black jerseys and gloves, black hair on some people (who were born with black hair or just dyed it for the occasion)... it's your day Dunedin - to dress up in black and celebrate the ABs World Cup success. At midday today, The Edge presents The All(most) Black Parade!
The parade will make it's way through the freezing streets - which will be warmed by your utter glee Dunnedites - to the Octagon, down George St at a snails pace (so you can all get a look and a wave in), turn into Albany St, head west to Clyde Street, then it's off to Union St East and down to Forsyth Barr Stadium. Then Anzac Ave, then south into Albany Street. Then finally it's along Albany, up to George again and then to the Octagon.
If you'd like to be part of the parade - please come dressed in black to Mediaworks Dunedin on Cumberland Street at 11.30am. We'd love you to join in the fun!
So come on Dunedinites! Dress up in black - bring your flags, streamers, balloons and we'll see you there along the victory parade route!
