2009 was a big year of hits, and conveniently someone's put them altogether in a nice five minute package!
DJ Earworm, a US DJ who spends most of his time making "mash ups" (and who's got some pretty cool fans, Annie Lennox, Sean Kingston, Scissor Sisters and Kanye!) has gone and mashed up the top 25 songs of 2009 according to Billboard magazine! He says it took him about a month all up to make the song and it's accompanying video (below), titled "United States Of Pop 2009 (Blame it on the Pop)". It contains bits from:
The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Flo Rida, Jason Mraz, Beyonce, Kanye West, The All American Rejects, T.I. featuring Justin Timberlake, The Fray, Kings Of Leon, Keri Hilson featuring Kanye & Ne-Yo, Jamie Foxx, Pitbull, T.I. feat Rihanna, Soulja Boy feat Sammie, Jay Sean feat Lil Wayne, Miley Cyrus, Drake, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry (phew!) and it's been watched over
five million times on Youtube alone since it was uploaded on Dec 27 09, insane!
For a full explanation of the song including where all the lyric & instrumental bits came from check out DJ Earworm's
