Steven Tyler: 'Judging Idol wasn't all that fun'

Now that AEROSMITH rocker STEVEN TYLER has left the judging panel on AMERICAN IDOL, he’s saying it wasn’t all that fun.

He says he only agreed to do it for the money and to give his bandmates the chance to calm down after he announced plans for a hiatus.

He said, "It was just hard work - seven-hour days and then I went and did the (Aerosmith) album for eight hours after that.

"The show's about kids and what you do to nurture their talent. They wanted me to take the p**s out of the kids and I don't have that in me. That's not what I'm about.”
