The man who is writing the Steve Jobs biography, Walter Isaacson, was told by Jobs himself that he refused life-saving surgery on his pancreatic cancer.

Instead Jobs decided he would try alternative therapies, which he later regretted.

Steve Jobs says:
'I didn't want my body to be opened…I didn't want to be violated in that way.'"

After his wife urged him to get the surgery, Jobs finally gave in nine months later. By that time, it was too late.
