Former SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE CHISHOLM almost got eaten by crocodiles.

She was taking part in an expedition along Africa's Zambezi River to raise money for charity when her raft capsized, throwing her into the rapids.

She was plucked to safety and is shaken by the ordeal but is alive and well.
