APRIL FOOLS
 
The Edge News announced today that individual New Zealanders who earn over $50,000 per annum would get an electronic stimulus package that would have been deposited into individuals bank accounts over night.
We were inundated with calls regarding this, may clicked it was April Fool, but many didn't.
With the back up of web banners, Andy's reputable news, an 0800 number and a believable radio ad many fell for the prank and thousands called called the 0800 number.
Some people think it was bad taste, but it's April Fools and we just want everyone to have a laugh either at yourself for falling for it or others who did! Check out the comments on the side of our web site.
