Well, what a difference a few days make…
So on Tuesday morning, Lady Gays pet Store gave me a puppy. We asked our listeners to choose a name and we decided on BELLA. She is so cute. Like I said on Tuesday, she follows me everywhere. I tried to make her sleep in her bed, but she prefers to sleep right next to me on mine!
She is very placid and can also be playful. Hardly ever growls or barks and is very snuggly. BUT she is very hard to toilet train! At work she pees and poohs on newspaper I lay out for her EVERYTIME! SO this is fantastic… but at home, she is destroying my carpet. This is not an exaggeration, but she ignores the newspaper and continues to pee and poop all over my floor. It’s really frustrating and disgusting. I can’t figure out why she is so good at work, but not so good at home. It has been driving Dom mad. He wasn’t thrilled about me getting her in the first place so he has said I should consider finding her a home where she will be appreciate by all members of the family.
I called 0800 PET VIP for some advice on this and the lady who answered suggested the same thing. She said you shouldn’t have a pet in a household where not everyone is supportive of it. So I called Lady Gays Pet Store and they said they’d be happy to take her back, but thought it would be nice if I found her a new home.
So that’s what I am going to do.
I absolutely love Bella, she’s adorable, but it is no fun when your child (Seven) gets upset because she won’t play with him (like I said, she follows me everywhere!) and when your husband moans every time she spoils the carpet.
I am determined to send her somewhere she will be deeply loved. She comes with so many cool accessories and food too! Plus she has already met a couple of celebs… Australian Idol winner Stan Walker and Home & Away star Lincoln Lewis, and Neighbour’s star Caitlin Stasey! (So we’ll give her a mini photo album of her adventures on The Edge so far)

Would you give Bella a safe, secure and happy home? She's a cool dog and I would love for you to adopt her. (My boss is threatening to send her to the Pound!)

In non-puppy news, have you seen this week’s NEW IDEA magazine? I was their model for their Fashion spread. The clothes I wear are not my usual style but I had fun pretending to be a model for the day!

And you’ll be happy to know that since I was so useless at motivating myself to start training for the Auckland Half Marathon at the end of October, I enlisted the help of a guy called Gaz Brown who runs his own business called GET RUNNING. He drew me up a training schedule and that has finally got me off my butt! I’m excited now.
