There’s
no denying flashy and wacky nails are back plus they are such a great
way to vamp up a basic outfit.
The
girls at The Edge headquarters have been going mental over the last couple of
months with cute and crazy nail trends, so I’ve done a wee nail collaboration
with some of our favs!
A
lot of our inspiration from The Beauty Department, Pinterest and Celebrity Nail
Stylist Leah Light, so check them out for even more ideas!
Ombre
Nails
The
ombre trend has extended from the head to the fingers. There are two ways to
get fab ombre nails.
1. Start with a dark nail polish on your pinky then pick
lighter colours as you move towards your thumb. You could play around with
mixing white with your favourite colour to create the effect without having to
buy 5 different polishes!
2. Ombre each nail individually. Simply paint the
dark to light nail polish on a makeup sponge then sponge onto your nail.
Heart
Accents
These
nails make me happy. Paint your nails in a sweet blush colour then grab your
white nail polish and a toothpick. Pick where you want the heart positioned then
draw two simple dots side by side. Take your toothpick and dip it in one of the
dots and drag downwards in a V shape, then repeat with the other dot to connect
them both up. Sounds way more complicated than it actually is!
Sellotape
Nails
The
Edge’s Megan has been sporting some stunning nails this week around the office
thanks to Celebrity Nail Stylist Leah Light. Megan went for the Burberry look
which made us girls super jealous. But luckily you can try your own plaid look
at home with scotch tape! The girls from The Beauty Department painted Sellotape
in the colours they wanted, cut it into strips and then placed them carefully on
the nail. Too cute and easy (just make sure you finish with a clear overcoat to
seal it all).
