The Brit awards nominees were announced last night and it's dominated by the ladies this year. Our very own Ladyhawke has been nominated for International Female Solo Artist while Florence & The Machine, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga and Pixie Lott all got three nods respectively. Dizzee Rascal & Robbie Williams are also up for album of the year which looks like will be going to Lily Allen – Weirdly though Susan Boyle wasn’t nominated which has outraged her fans.

Scribe was flying to Aussie last night and got a fright to see loaded rapper Xzibit sitting in economy not first class! He went to his twitter saying
“Saw Xzibit on my flight in economy class..that was random.”

While we’re on rappers, Fans of the Wu Tang Clan will be stoked to hear Raekwon is coming to Auckland for a show on 20th of March.

Shakira is doing her bit to save the economy by shopping heaps more. Shakira reckons she’s already a shopaholic but now she doesn’t feel guilty and goes overboard even more because she says it’s her way of helping.

 
It was a hard day on set today for the Glee cast after the Golden Globes the other night. The cast celebrated hard after they won Best TV Comedy even though they had a big choir scene to film the next morning. The creator of Glee said to press outside an after party that the cast is “Joyous and very drunk”.
