Wyclef Jean has cancelled his appearance at this weekend's Ragamuffin 2010 festival in Rotorua. The Haitian-American singer/rapper famous for his work in The Fugees as well as his solo stuff has decided to stay in the U.S. to help out his charity Yele Haiti to raise money for aid relief. He has said that he will postpone his appearance to 2011 - not sure if that means he'll play Ragamuffin next year or his own show.
Collections will be taken at Ragamuffin to support the disaster relief effort for Haiti.
Promoters said Wyclef's former Fugees bandmates, Lauryn Hill, would now bring her own band to the festival, Shaggy will close the event and Sly and Robbie would perform a separate set.

Lily Allen was only in New Zealand for a couple of days before jetting off to Aussie Saturday morning. She touched down at Brisbane after a pretty short flight (only three hours), yet it must've been gruelling for her - she was rude to fans waiting for her in the airport and went mental and swore at media wanting to ask her questions.

Lily covered her head to avoid cameras and refused to stop for questions. Then headed straight out the door to have a smoke, when approached again by reporters she got angry and snapped "I have already told you, I don't have anything to say to you." and then when a photographer started taking photos of her, her minders stepped in and she lost it... "I JUST GOT OFF A THREE HOUR FLIGHT SO F**K OFF!!!". Whoa, a whole three hours! Would hate to be one of the media waiting for her when she arrives back off a 12 hour flight in the U.K.!

Wyclef Jean is being accused of stealing money from his charity that raises money for his home country of Haiti. Legal documents show that Wyclef withdrew money $100,000 fee for him to perform, $32,000 to rent an apartment and a few other unnecessary things. Wyclef has released a 6min video defending himself.

 

Lady Gaga will be donating ALL profit from ticket sales and Merchandise from her sold out show in New York next week to the recovery in Haiti. So far NZ alone has raised over $500,000

 

Rihanna used to be a very private person, it took her over a year to be spotted with Chris Brown but when it comes to her new boyfriend Matt Kemp, she's all about showing him off. She's been photographed pretty much getting it on in a spa, going to dinner & last night the pair were at a basketball game.

 

Beyonce is taking a 6 month break and she's made a list of things to do -

1. She is not stepping into the studio and will stay away from her shoots and recordings.
2. She would eat out a lot and would be visiting lots and lots of restaurants.
3. She is also eager to take up a few classes (maybe cooking or French-learning)
4. She is also keen to head into theatres and watch lots of movies munching popcorns to give her jaws something to work upon.
5. She, even, is desirous of making a dash to the Broadway theatres and witness some plays. Hmmm….
6. And finally, she quips, she’d be doing a lot of random things (of which neither she nor we have any idea, at present).
