LINDSAY LOHAN checked into jail this morning to begin serving her 30-day sentence only to be released four hours later.

LiLo arrived at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California shortly before 9pm local time on Sunday night (06Nov11), and she was sent home around 1.30am on Monday morning (07Nov11).

The actress pleaded guilty to a probation violation last Wednesday (02Nov11) and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but she ended up serving less than five hours behind bars due to prison overcrowding, according to TMZ.com.
