Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld helped Lilly Allen channel the look of Diana, Princess of Wales and country legend Dolly Parton by designing a second dress for her wedding day.
The Smile hitmaker wed Sam Cooper near her home in the English countryside last month (Jun11), and photos of the happy couple showed Allen wearing a 1920s-style veil and white lace Delphine Manivet gown.
But Allen had a second outfit specially created for her by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, which she wore at the reception in the grounds of her estate - and she has the late British royal and singer Parton to thank for her look on the big day.
Allen tells Glamour magazine, "I told Karl about the band I'd booked for the wedding, Lil' Band O' Gold. They're from Louisiana, so Karl said we'd use Dolly Parton as an inspiration!... My ultimate bridal style icon is Princess Diana because she really put her stamp on her dress."
