A representative for faceless French dance music duo DAFT PUNK has confirmed new songs proclaiming to be the band's work for Disney's upcoming TRON remake are fakes.

A number of tracks which were seemingly made by the Da Funk hitmakers surfaced online last week (ends01Aug10).

The songs, which were posted on video sharing website YouTube.com, were said to be the dance act's latest material to accompany new Disney epic Tron: Legacy, which is set for release in December (10).

But a spokesperson for the duo has told music website Pitchfork.com that the recordings are actually fake.
