Lady Gaga has lashed out at DJ/producer Calvin Harris after he stated he turned down the chance to work with her as he "didn't really like her songs".

Harris recently told the BBC he spurned Gaga's attempts to work with him at the beginning of her career because he wasn't a fan.

He explained, "You have got to pick people whose songs or voice you like and at that stage, it was before she was really big, and they sent me some songs and I didn't really like the songs."

Lady Gaga is far from amused by Harris' frank confession and she took to Twitter.com to blast his claims, stating, "(I) never even emailed you @calvinharris I guess it's hard to believe I write + produce my music. cuz (because) I'm a woman I don't know about EDM (electronic dance music) right?"
