Twilight star Kristen Stewart has cleared up reports she sported a fur coat for a recent fashion magazine photoshoot, insisting she would "never" choose to wear animal pelts.
Pictures of the actress posing seductively have appeared in the latest issue of W magazine, and they've drawn criticism from animal-loving bloggers who have mistaken her mohair cover-up for real fur.
However, Stewart, who is currently shooting new fantasy movie Snow White & The Huntsman, is keen to set the record straight and clear her name.
In an appearance on U.S. TV's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday (03Nov11), she said, "That's not fur, I'd never wear fur... ever! I'm not making any grand statements there, but it's mohair or whatever. Let's clear that up.
"I think it was just one of those little (blog comments) like, 'No one does it anymore (wears fur) and look, she's willing to', and it's like, 'No, actually (I'm) not. So no, let's just put that out. Snow White would never, ever (wear real fur)!"
