Kim Kardashian's estranged husband Kris Humphries wants the couple's 72-day marriage annulled.
The basketball star filed papers seeking to erase the union on the grounds of fraud on Wednesday (30Nov11), weeks after Kardashian announced she was keen to end the marriage and divorce Humphries.
In his Superior Court filing, Humphries ticks the box reading "nullity of voidable marriage".
Under California law, a nullity is granted if the court finds that no valid marriage ever occurred.
If Humphries is denied an annulment, he is asking for a legal separation. Both Kardashian and Humphries have listed the date of separation as 31 October (11).
The couple wed as part of a lavish televised special, which aired on U.S. cable channel E!
