What is your single about?
It’s about being in a long distance relationship. I was on tour in the states at the time and my girlfriend was living in Whistler. A lot of Skype dates, a lot of post cards, adventure, turmoil you know how it is.
Where did you record this single, and who helped you out?
Spent a lot of time In LA, Toronto and Ontario of all places recording it. LA has become a bit of a second home for Kingston because of all the time we have spent there. The last part of record we came back home and turned a Piha batch into a studio for about 3weeks and stayed out there. Me and Scott are quite into surfing so it was the perfect way to finish off a record.
Have you got a video out, if so what is the theme/story behind the video?
Yeah our new video for The Lotto is out. We did the video with an awesome director James Blick and Andrew Mcgeorge shot it. Those guys did an awesome job for us and worked really hard on it!
The theme of it is fun hang times with your mates and a cheeky spark between two in the group. We love going out to the beach and getting up to missions in the summer. That’s what is great about NZ summers: mean hang outs, beaches, pools, bomb fires it’s what we love doing. We live in a special country.
Who’s in your band?
Dan - Vocals
Scott – Guitar
Shohan – Bass
Ben – Sticks
Have you got any tours coming up?
There are a few plans in the works.
Have you got an album coming out soon?
Yeah we’re releasing a bunch of singles off the record over summer then looking at releasing the Album early in the new year. Black & Bloom.
