KE$HA teamed up with her songwriter mum to pen five songs for her new album Deconstructed, including one about eating boys.

Pebe Sebert, who wrote Dolly Parton's 1980 hit Old Flames Can't Hold a Candle to You, has always been a mentor to her talented daughter after catching the 25 year old sneaking into her recording sessions.

The Tik Tok hitmaker eventually followed in her mother's songwriter footsteps, and earlier this year she turned to mum for advice as she started recording her latest project, which was released this week.

And Ke$ha admits she loves collaborating with her mum, telling the Associated Press, "I can write with her about anything. I can write with her about boys. I wrote the song Cannibal with her, which is about me dismembering men and eating them."

She isn't the only artist to team up with her parent on a new record - country hunk Blake Shelton's holiday album, Cheers It's Christmas, features a song he wrote with his mother Dorothy Shackleford, called Time for Me to Come Home. Shackleford also sings on the track.
