"American Idol" offered Katy Perry $20 milliion to be a judge this season but she turned it down. (They are paying Mariah Carey $18 million.)

Katy wasn't interested, and "money wasn't the issue." She couldn't fit it into her schedule, and didn't think that it was a good career move right now.
