Justin Bieber's cred just went up a little bit today... in a collaboration born on Twitter through @replies with Kanye West.
Kanye has dropped the remix he promised of JB's 'Runaway Love' with Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon. (Listen to the remix on the right.)
It all started when Kanye said he was listening to JB's 'Runaway Love' one Sunday morning a couple weeks back, Bieber tweeted back excited just to hear his idol was into his music: "It's not a so what moment for me. I'm 16 and a fan. I'm kinda hyped u are listening to my stuff. Thank u. Nice sunday morning."
Biebs then praised Kanye's music, to which Kanye tweeted: "I'm honoured that you like my music JustinBieber!!! You gotta hear the album. Maybe we can do something together. Me, You and Raekwon."
And of course, JB was keen: "Me, u, and the chef 2gether on a song = EPIC. Haha. Might sound crazy 2 u but even having this convo (conversation) is living the dream. Thanks."
And the rest is history.
Critic reaction to the track has been positive, but the best response has come - as usual - from Youtube commenters.
From BassmanJake666: "This is one of those things that on paper seems so wack that it might actually turn out to be dope. Too bad it's just plain wack."
And from KentoTV: "As long as I pretend [Bieber's] just some hoodrat girl who Raekwon allowed to sing on the track, I'm good."
