JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's grandmother has confirmed the singer's engagement to JESSICA BIEL, revealing he broke the news to her on Christmas Day.

Reports suggested Timberlake proposed to The A-Team beauty while on vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on 21 December (11).

Neither star has commented on the rumours but now the pop star-turned-actor's grandma, Sadie Bomar, has corroborated the reports.

Speaking to GossipCop.com, Bomar says, "He called me on Christmas Day and told me he’s engaged... The family loves Jessie... she’s a very sweet girl."

And Bomar has shed a little light on the secrecy of the engagement, revealing the singer initially asked her to keep the news under wraps "until after the holidays" so the couple could celebrate in private.
