Disgraced designer John Galliano has credited Kate Moss with reviving his career by picking him to design her wedding dress, following his infamous breakdown in February (11).
The fashion icon was arrested over allegations he hurled racist abuse at a couple in Paris, France, and later lost his job as head designer at Christian Dior over the scandal.
Galliano subsequently checked into rehab to address substance abuse issues, and admits he lost confidence in his design abilities.
But he was delighted when supermodel Moss showed her support by asking him to design a gown for her to wear for her wedding to rocker Jamie Hince.
He tells America's Vogue magazine, "She was very professional and very demanding. She dared me to be John Galliano again. I couldn't pick up a pencil. It's been my creative rehab."
Moss adds, "When I put the dress on, I'm really happy. I forget about everything."
Galliano was a guest at the couple's July (11) wedding in Gloucestershire, England and he was moved to tears when Moss' father Peter thanked him for "the beautiful dress" in his speech.
