Jessie J (b. Jessica Ellen Cornish in Essex, UK), is a singer-songwriter. First known as a songwriter for artists including Christina Aguilera and Miley Cyrus, 2010 saw her own solo recording career materialise.

Jessie J released her debut single Do It Like a Dude in January 2011. Her debut studio album tentatively titled Who You Are is expected for release later in the year.

In Dec 2010, Jessie won the Brit Awards’ Critics Choice prize as the artist most likely to break into mainstream music within the next year. In January 2011, she was named BBC Sound Of 2011, beating fourteen other upcoming acts to win the coveted title previously won by the likes of Ellie Goulding and 50 Cent.

reading Hannahs comment made me think that its also alot like ciara's like a boy from back in 2007 it doesnt change my opnion on Jessie J I still think shes talented and i love her Price Tag song with B.O.B

Am I the only one who thinks "Do It Like a Dude" holds WAY too many similarities to Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy"? They've pretty much got the same idea going on - Beyonce pulls it off better - and just for that reason I really dislike Jessie J's single.
