Jessie J has finally set a date to make good on her promise to shave her head for charity - she will take a razor to her scalp next year.
The Price Tag hitmaker unveiled plans to donate her locks to a good cause in August, 2011, but she put off the challenge until she could find a non-profit organization she deemed most worthy of her backing.
Now Jessie J has agreed to boost funds for the U.K.'s Red Nose Day telethon for Comic Relief, which raises money for those living in poverty across the globe, and she will cut off her dark hair on live TV in March.
Announcing the news on her Twitter.com blog on Thursday, after filming a commercial for the campaign, she writes, "I am SO excited and honored to be able to finally officially announce I will be shaving my head LIVE for you ALL to watch in March 2013 for @rednoseday lets (sic) raise some money".
Jessie J won't be the only celebrity to rock a shaved look - Lady Gaga and Avril Lavigne are both currently sporting partly-shorn styles, while fellow singer Kellie Pickler recently cut off all her hair in support of her best friend, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
