JESSIE J has blasted a report suggesting
she's a secret lesbian and was advised to hide her sexuality to avoid losing
her record deal, insisting: "None of it's true."
A new unauthorised biography, Jessie J: Who's Laughing Now, suggests the
Price Tag hitmaker - who has previously revealed she is bisexual - was told to
keep quiet about her love life for fear of alienating fans.
Author Chloe Govan writes, "Jessie might have been with boys in the
past - but she is 100 per cent gay. Jessie was openly lesbian and didn't hide
it. She was advised not to come out though. Certain people thought being bi was
trendy, exotic and a fashion statement. It would increase her allure. Being gay
would alienate people."
But the singer has since hit back at the report, branding it
"boring" and "untrue".
In a post on her Twitter.com blog, she writes, "It's funny how many
people I've datedslept (sic) with that I've never even met according to the
tabloids. BUT what's that?! *whispers because its a secret* I'm really a
lesbian?! Ha!
"Thanks for writing yet another boring untrue story. I thought I
was still dating Tinie (Tempah), NO Ellie G (Goulding), NO Mark Wright... bla
bla bla! cantkeepup noneofitstrue."
