Jennifer Lopez once fired her manager over subtle taunts about her weight.
The curvy American Idol judge and reigning People magazine's Sexiest Woman of 2011 has long flaunted her voluptuous physique but Lopez reveals she hasn't always been applauded for her body, admitting earlier in her career she fired her manager for not supporting her healthy figure.
She tells Vogue magazine, "I was just so infuriated that somebody said you couldn't have a little extra meat on you - because I was by no means fat!
"That was so mean and closed-minded. I was like,'No, this is who I am, and this is the type of woman that I grew up with, and it was beautiful and there's no reason to be anybody but myself.'"
