Last time U2 came to New Zealand they brought rap legend Kanye West as their support act, (which is pretty massive in itself)... but now the world's biggest band has out done themselves with this one... Jay-Z has been confirmed as support act for U2 on their 360° tour down under.
U2 made the announcement during an interview with Rove McManus on Australian TV show The 7pm Project last night (24-AUG-2010).
With hits such as 99 Problems, Empire State of Mind and Dirt Off Your Shoulder, and ten Grammy awards, Jay-Z is one of the most successful artists of all time. His last record Blueprint 3 was one of the biggest selling records of 2010, and was Jay-Z’s 11th Number 1 album - putting him ahead of Elvis for most Number 1 albums by any solo artist.
Jay-Z last performed in Australia back in 2006, and has never performed in New Zealand.
Jay-Z will join U2 on all their 360° Australia & New Zealand tour dates...
