I have discovered my new favourite fashion boutique… Augustine International!
With racing season well under way and an invite to the Ellerslie Twilight Races, I was excited for the opportunity to dress up. If you looked inside my wardrobe you would be met with a sea of black. It’s the old-school goth in me I’ve tried hard to shake. Black is slimming, black goes with everything, there’s never a mistake in mis-matching colours, it’s perfect. But wearing black to the races is a bit boring considering the sun is generally shining and it’s a day of fun and colour!
I popped into Augustine International in 277 Newmarket and I was spoilt for choice. So many gorgeous, unique and fun dresses in all shapes and sizes.
The label is designed by Kelly Coe. She is full talent! I must have tried on at least half a dozen dresses and I could have worn any one of them. I decided bright and glitzy was the way to go so ended up settling for the Rapani dress. Figure hugging, one shoulder, black, with rouched side and set off with a front panel of bright sequined roses. It was fun, it was flirty, it was even a bit daring for me.
I finished off my look with a pair of burgundy peep-toe heels from Kathryn Wilson (my new favourite shoe designer!) and a bird fascinator from Sacha Olsen. I was ready to race!
Augustine International has a store in Newmarket and Mount Maunganui and is soon to open in Three Lamps, Ponsonby. Right by The Edge studio! Very handy for me.
