What is your single about?
I wrote ‘Rewind’ about a summer romance I’d had
that didn’t end very well, I wanted to forget about it and take it all back and
that’s where I found inspiration to write the lyrics ‘Rewind five times’ (The
five times represents five specific occasions I wanted to forget about). All in
all it’s a bit of a break up song so hopefully there’s a few people who can
relate to it.
Where did you record this single, and who helped
you out?
I recorded the single at York Street Studios with
the York Street band, which was awesome and heaps of fun!
Have you got a video out, if so what is the story behind the video?
The video pretty much represents exactly what the
song is about. It’s a summery romance that takes place at Pakiri beach. It
shows me looking back on the relationship, so there are a lot of flash backs of
me and my ‘boyfriend’ holding hands, playing around at the farm and cute things
like that. There is a fight and then scenes that show the relationship falling
apart to finally end with me and my guitar, representing finding some peace in
music.
Who’s in your band?
I’m a solo artist, just cruising by myself at the
moment.
Have you got any tours coming up?
I have a Rewind pop-up shows tour at Amazon stores
in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch coming up! I keep my events page up to
date if you want to get info on anything that’s coming up so check out this link here.
I also hope to be doing a nation-wide tour over
summer!
Have you got an album coming out soon?
Getting into the studio to start recording an album
in August which will be coming out later this year!
