British singer James Blunt has caused a backlash from Polish fans after he posted a photo on the internet mocking the country's architecture.
The You're Beautiful hitmaker was in the town of Wodzislaw Slaski to perform at the Life Festival at Mosir Stadium on Saturday (18Jun11).
Prior to his gig, Blunt, who is reportedly staying in five star hotels on his trek, posted a picture of himself on Facebook.com outside a half-built accommodation block with the jibe, "Uh, this is my hotel in Poland."
The remark has caused outrage, with thousands of fans commenting on the image and slamming the star over the joke.
One user on the social networking site writes, "You are so pitiful. You don't know anything about my country. If you are so disappointed don't come to Poland again. You are not welcomed here... for all Polish fans u are now total zero."
Another adds, "I think you should be ashamed of this picture and description, now I do not like you and your music!!!"
