JENNIFER LOPEZ and CASPER SMART's lawyers have reportedly fired off letters to two U.S. tabloids following stories linking the dancer to an exotic massage parlour in New York.

Attorneys Shawn Holley and Howard Weitzman are threatening to sue editors of the Star and In Touch if they don't print a full retraction of an article suggesting Smart visited the seedy venue the day before his famous girlfriend turned 43 last week.

His representatives insist Smart was in the building for a tattoo session.

Weitzman and Holley, who also represent Michael Jackson's estate executors and Lindsay Lohan respectively, have warned the publications' editors the reports are "false, malicious and defamatory" and will cause "immense damage" to the couple's careers and reputations, according to TMZ.com.
