British actor Hugh Grant has become a first-time father to a baby girl.
The Notting Hill star welcomed the tot in early October (11), although further details regarding the birth and the child's mother have yet to be revealed.
A representative for Grant tells WENN, "I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl. He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms."

Grant has been largely single since splitting from socialite Jemima Khan in 2007, although he was said to have found love with Chinese actress Tinglan Hong earlier this year (11).
He previously gushed about his desire to start a family and in a 2007 interview with Vogue magazine said, "As much as I adore myself, I'm quite keen to find someone else to care about more. I remember reading a Warren Beatty quote when he finally had children and said, 'What a relief it was to not be all me, me, me.'"
