Harry Styles reportedly called things off with Taylor Swift after he "felt suffocated" by their relationship.

The One Direction boy band member and country star Taylor made headlines last week after it was claimed that had split after an almighty argument.

While neither Harry nor Taylor confirmed they were dating, the pair had been romantically linked for 65 days.

"Harry really liked Taylor but it was too much too young," a source has told British magazine Grazia.

"He was focusing on his 19th birthday next month, while Taylor was talking about engagements, synching diaries, taking trips away. He's a on a pretty tight schedule with his band. This was part of Harry's problem. Everything was such a big deal. There were so many people involved, so many to please. He felt suffocated."

While Harry is still a fun focused teenager, for 23-year-old Taylor the relationship was much more serious. The American mega star, who has a reputation for being high maintenance, reportedly tried to make the young heartthrob choose between her and his bandmates which stirred up tension between them. Taylor also reportedly found it hard to cope with all the female attention the One Direction boys attract.

"The sad thing is they really liked each other. But she knew he was a bad boy and there were trust issues," an insider explained. "She would find random girls' numbers in his pockets that even he didn't know were in there, but it made things all the more tense between them."
