If you’re not already aware of this group, let me introduce you to Gypsy & the Cat, the Australian duo namely Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers.

They have already been tipped by NME as one of their 20 artists to watch in 2011, along with Triple J playlist whilst an unsigned band and Mark Ronson’s East Village radio show support.

They take influence from heritage acts such as Fleetwood Mac, Simon and Garfunkel, The Police and Queen to modern DJs Justice and Daft Punk.

The result as stated so perfectly in their biog “is gorgeous mini epics of forlorn beauty and elegiac romanticism…”
