Remember a couple of weeks ago Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters sent The Edge a video message for his fans in NZ and the people of Christchurch hinting that the band may be coming here soon?

"We're wishing everyone in Christchurch our hopes and prayers, we're thinking about you around the world." Dave said in the message.

"We hope that we can see you soon, and do what we can to bring a little bit of happiness back in to your lives."

Well he has made good on his promise and Foo Fighters have announced they are coming to New Zealand NEXT WEEK for a one-off charity concert for Canterbury!

They will play to a small crowd at Auckland’s Town hall on Tuesday night (22-MAR-2011). Tickets will be on sale from FRIDAY at the-edge.co.nz for between $175 and $250 with all proceeds going to the CHCH Earthquake Relief Fund.

The band will play Auckland on the back of the Australian leg of their tour for the new album 'Wasting Light' due out April 12 - which means we'll be some of the first in the world to hear the new stuff live.

Good on the Foos boys!
