My festival story

Heading to R&V, R&A or the BW summer festival? Spark are teaming up with Spotify to bring you My Festival Story.  A social timeline of your experience, it’ll capture every ‘who’, ‘what’ and ‘wtf’ of your week and download playlists and gig set-lists to relieve any time you like.  Come and say hi at Spark’s Hang Out too for comfy seats and blankets, free WiFi and the famous ATMs stocked with free gifts for Spark customers.

My Festival Story allows you to connect, collect and share your festival experience via your Spotify account and the nifty tech in your official R&V/R&A festival wristband.

Your story includes a timeline of your check-ins, the areas you visited, set lists of the acts you saw, the number of steps you took, and selfies snapped at our Spark hangout.

This information is collected via check-in Spark Towers located in all the coolest spots of the festival grounds – all you need to do is scope them out and tag in with your wristband. Easy.

How Does It Work

There are three steps to building your own personal My Festival Story:

Connect: Update your festival ticket login with your Spotify login via www.myfestivalstory.co.nz or www.minttix.com. Now that you’ve got your Spotify account synced with your wristband, you’re good to go.

Collect: Check in with your wristband at our Spark Towers to collect Spotify playlists including set lists from the festival – you’ll find them at concert stages, campsites, bars, Spark Hang Out and heaps of other cool spots.

Share: At the end of the festival, #MyFestivalStory creates a postcard of your R&V/R&A experience to share with your friends on Facebook and re-live any time you like. A link to your personal story will be e-mailed to you.

(Note:  If you bought your ticket through TicketMaster, you won’t be able to pre-register – but don’t worry! Come check out the Spark Hangout on site and you can sign up there)

If you don’t have a Spotify account, no worries. You can join and start listening for free at www.spotify.com.

If you want instant, high quality, uninterrupted music that you can listen to on-the-go and offline, Spark is offering Spotify Premium (RRP $12.99 a month) FREE on heaps of packs and plans – so join us now or activate your account at www.spark.co.nz/spotify.
