LEAVING LAS VEGAS star ELISABETH SHUE is heading back to Sin City as the latest addition to Las Vegas-based crime drama CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION.

The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the 1995 movie, is joining the cast of the hit TV show and will make her first appearance in the series in February (12).

Shue comes into the show as longtime star Marg Helgenberger is preparing to leave after playing Catherine Willows for 11 seasons.

Executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says, "While it's difficult to say goodbye to a beloved character like Catherine Willows, it's exciting to start a journey with a new CSI, especially when that character is played by Elisabeth Shue."
